Forget the Top 10 (My Favorite Anime)

I used to have a mental list of my Top 10 favorite anime of all time............and then I watched S.A.O.....and Psycho Pass...........and now Attack on Titan!  It was impossible to only have 10. When I first began watching anime, I would hear about them from random places. I'd hunt down the description and if it sounded like something I'd enjoy, than I'd add it to my Watch List. Then I discovered ANN (Anime News Network - http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/). I realized that new anime was coming out every single season (Duh! I know, I know). Well needless to say, my favorite anime list is always growing. That being said, here are some of my favorite anime, in no particular order:

Angel Beats!
First off, can I just say how amazing this anime looks?? It's gorgeous. In the beginning I laughed A LOT!! At the end, I cried and cried. The fact that this anime affected me so deeply was enough to get it on my Favorites. I came away from this anime feeling like I needed to seriously cherish every day of life I was given and live without regret. Oh, and the soundtrack was outstanding! My absolute favorite is Answer Song. I really need GirlsDeMo to make albums every year for the rest of my life. This soundtrack got me seriously interested in J-Rock, and in anime music in general (beyond just the OP/ED).
School Rumble
Just pure silliness and I loved every minute of it. It made me laugh a lot. Tenma and Harima especially had me ROTFL. I prefer subs, but the dubbed version of this was very well done.

Black Lagoon
I love action anything and every ep was action packed!!! Also, each character was so complex and interesting........they aren't what I'd call the good guys, but I didn't want them to lose! Enjoyed the entire series. Nice OP/ED as well.

Sword Art Online (S.A.O.)
Okay, I was hooked at episode 1. What? You can't log out?? OMG! As I watched it I really felt like I had not seen an anime quite like it before. Visually it is stunning. Waiting each week for a new episode was absolute torture! Kirito? Coolest guy ever. 25 eps was not nearly enough.

Psycho-Pass
One of the most disturbing shows I've ever watched. When reminding myself that it was just animation stopped working, I actually had to start covering my eyes during some scenes. But! that is why it is one of my favorites......well that and because of Takahiro Sakurai - an amazing voice actor. Makishima is a character I would normally loathe, but with Takahiro's voice drifting from his animated lips, I just couldn't bring myself to hate him. *Shrug* Kougami, the hero saw that justice prevailed in the end, and I do like a happy ending. This show also made me think though......about what we allow to become socially acceptable, where we are headed as a society, about how much we rely on technology, etc. Quite well done.
Danshi Koukousei No Nichijou
Gintama
Pure foolishness and probably the most I've ever laughed in my life. Tadakuni-kun and his friends are a bunch of very loveable misfits. Gintama (season 1) I am still trying to finish but what I've watched so far has been hilarious. I love an anime that takes my mind off of any problems and just leaves me feeling good.
Kami Nomi Zo Shiru Sekai
Because Keima-kun is just the best!! How could you not love him?? There is nothing he can't do! I love seeing how he takes his gaming strategies and applies them to the "real" world. He's also an amazing singer...or not.
