Spring 2014 anime Episode 1 previews

I usually try to watch the first ep of all the new shows to decide what I want to add to my watch list. Here are the anime whose first episode I intend to have watched.

1. Majin Bone (watched -probably not for me - may need to see one more ep before abandoning entirely)
2. Selector Infected Wixoss (which I call "weaksauce" - I'm not a fan of card game anime - well except for Chihayafuru, but that's not quite the same)
3. Blade & Soul (loved it! definitely plan to watch)
4. Riddle Story of a Devil (a.k.a Akuma no Riddle - I didn't plan to watch as it has the "shoujo ai" tag - but the first ep wasn't bad - I felt like it was Another + Danganronpa - fun stuff)
5. Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior (a.k.a Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou. It was cute - reminded me of Sakurasou-I'll probably watch it)
6. Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbou Returns (wasn't terrible, but mystery/detective anime usually aren't my cup of tea - though I did like Shinrei Tantei Yakumo. I won't be adding this)
7. The World Is Still Beautiful (Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii - pretty interesting - I liked it. Nice twist at the end of ep 1 - looks like it will be a fun adventure story - I will probably add this)
8. Kamigami no Asobi (I can already tell this anime will be terrible, but the multi-colored frau anime's are my weakness - I love them no matter how terrible. It screams "dating sim" - no surprise there since it actually is based on one - but that tells you what to expect.)
9. Captain Earth (loved it! Nice animation! Definitely will add)
10. Daimidaler: Prince vs. Penguin Empire ( haven't watched it yet - don't know if I will - usually avoid the super ecchi's if I can)
11. Irregular at Magic High School (a.k.a Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei - loved it! Definitely going to add to my watch list. To me it was like :Hagure Yuusha no Aesthetica (student with skill level way beyond his peers) + Machine-Doll wa Kizutsukanai (student is skilled but somehow ranked really low)
12. Corda d'Oro Blue Sky (multi-colored frau's that play wind instruments - as mentioned above, they are my weakness..........I will watch it. If you liked Uta no Prince Sama or Starry Sky - you'll like this too)
13. Kanojo ga Flag o Oraretara (it was kinda cute - seemed very familiar, perhaps I read a chapter of the manga. I don't know if I'll add it - seems like it might be predictable, but good for some laughs)
14. Brynhildr in the Darkness (a.k.a Gokukoku no Brynhildr - I can't really put into words what I liked about it. I liked it just because. It wasn't boring - I liked the characters right away. Animation was nice as well. I may add to my list)
15. One Week Friends (a.k.a Isshuukan friends - cute but kinda sad anime. I really liked it. Came away from the ep wishing that there were people in real life like main character Hase. I'll probably watch this)
16. Comic Artists and Assistants (a.k.a Mangaka-san to Assistant-san - these characters are beyond ridiculous. The things the lead char is saying with Kirito's voice (same voice actor as Sword Art Online) is truly disturbing. I love ridiculous characters though! They crack me up. So even though this is also super-ecchi, which I usually avoid - I'll probably watch this one)
17. Magica Wars (a.k.a Mahou Shoujo Taisen - 5 minutes long - and those few minutes of the first ep did not make me want to tune in for more. This will not be on my list.)
18. Black Bullet (pretty interesting! I'm pretty sure this will end up on my watch list. For some reason I feel like it's Psycho Pass + Samurai Flamenco)
19. Dai - Shogun - Great Revolution (a.k.a. Fuuun Ishin Dai Shougun - it was okay - humor was a bit dirty. Might have good action. I need to see another ep or 2 to decide whether it's worth continuing).
20. No Game No Life (Weird but unlike any of the "gaming" anime's I've seen so far. I'd like to check out another episode - not sure this one will go on my list though)
21. Chaika - The Coffin Princess (a.k.a Hitsugi no Chaika. I like it - somewhat interesting - might be some fun adventures to be had in this. I'd probably need to see another ep before deciding if I'll watch it)
22. Insufficient Direction (a.k.a Kantoku Fuyukitodoki - I watched it. I wish I had not done so. It was only 3 minutes long, but I'd like those few moments of my life back)
23. Nanana's Buried Treasure (a.k.a Ryuugajou Nanana no Maizoukin - Pretty interesting! It started one way and then went in another direction. Not sure how I feel about it. The first few moments would've make a great anime - I hope what it turned into by the end of the first ep will be just as good if not better - need to see another ep or 2 to decide if I'll keep watching. I probably will though)
24. Escha & Logy no Atelier: Tasogare no Sora no Renkinjutsushi (Interesting. The main char is so adorable and cute that I thought this might be too sweet for me but I enjoyed it. It kind of reminded me of Shining Hearts: Shiawase no pan. I'd like to watch more of it.)
25. Is the order a rabbit? (a.k.a Gochuumon wa Usagi Desuka? - cute anime. Not something that will go on my list - but I may watch it at my leisure at a later time)
26. Knights of Sidonia (a.k.a Sidonia no Kishi - Not what I expected at all. I'm not crazy about the animation style but this anime was really interesting. I can't wait to see what happens in the next episode. I think I will end up adding this one) 
27. Inugami-san To Nekoyama-san (No - just no. Tried too hard to be funny. Not for me)
    
28. Mekakucity Actors (It was weird, yet colorful. Having watched the entire first ep, I still have no idea what I just watched. It has potential -however the ep, nor next week's preview made me want to tune in next week. Also, why do anime NEET's always seem to have money to buy whatever they want??)
29. Baby Steps (I wasn't going to check out this sports anime but I saw Defias review of it and decided to check it out. It wasn't bad. I even laughed a little. I don't love it and I'm not excited for the next ep. It definitely isn't on the Kuroko no Baske's level. But I'd watch this anime when I just had nothing to do and want to watch a light comedy)

Anime I need to finish.......

There are some anime that I just never finished. Either they couldn't hold my attention or it has a lot of episodes. Somehow I can't bring myself to drop an anime. If I've seen one ep, I have to see them all......eventually, lol.

1. Mawaru Penguindrum - Seen 4 out 24 - I like it, just haven't made time for it.
2. Gintama - Seen 19 out 201 - So many eps! I feel overwhelmed.
3. Ghost Hunt - Seen 10 out of 35. It's good, I just haven't been in the mood for it.
4. Kyou Kara Maou - Seen 66 out of 78. It's okay...got burned out I guess.
5. Kaikan Phrase -Seen 15 out of 44 - don't think I love it enough to make it to the end.
6. Persona 4 - I've only seen 1 ep - but I've heard it's really good.
7. Eden of the East - Started it and then got distracted.

Sequels I need to finish (or start) watching....

For some reason, if I begin an anime I feel obligated to watch its' sequels as well. Unfortunately for me, I still feel obligated even after I fall out of love with an anime. So, here's a list of some sequels I haven't found the time to watch or am in no particular hurry to see, but somehow feel obligated to watch:
